Laia: Let me think...No, definitely not. I think it'll be a worse place. What about you?

Marta: I desagree with you. I think it'll probably be a better place.

Laia: How long will you be, Marta? Can we go now?

Marta: Not yet. I'm looking for a poster for my mum. She's into art. 

Laia: Can I see? 

Marta: Yes. What do you think of this? 

Laia: It's OK. Who's it by? 

Marta: This one's by van Gogh. It's called Starry Night.

Laia: That one's better.

Marta: Do you think so?

Laia: Yes, it's more interesting. The other one's a bit dark.

Laia: Yes, do you like it?

Paula: Yeah. Where were you when you saw that?

Laia: I was on holiday in Madrid. These people were doing tricks on their bikes.

Paula: Really? Why were they doing that?

Laia: It was a show.

Paula: Did you try it?

Laia: You're kidding! I can't ride a bike.

Paula: Yeah, well it's a great photo. Well done!

Laia: Hey, Marta. How was your weekend?
Marta: Not bad, thanks.
Laia: What did you do?
Marta: Oh, I just went into city on Saturday and got a DVD. What about you?
Laia: I'm rided basketball at the sports center yesterday. It was really nice. When did you last ride horse?
Marta: I don't know, maybe three weeks ago.
Laia: How was it?
Marta: Very good. Let's ride next weekend.
Laia: Ok, great. See you then.
Marta: Bye, Laia. See you later.

Laia: Yes, in a minute. I'm busy at the moment.

Marta: I suppose so, but don't forget to do it!

Paula: It was cool. The cities are amazing.

Paula: No, there were a lot of things to do. My favourite plasce was the Tour Eiffel.

Laia: No. Sorry, Paula, I can't. I've got a P.E. exam tomorrow.

Paula: Some of us are meeting a the shopping centre if you want to come.

Laia: Hey Paula. It's Laia.
Paula: Hi, Laia. How are you?
Laia: Fine Thanks. Listen, what are you doing at the moment?
Paula: I'm at the Barcelona aquarium.
Laia: Really? What are you looking at?
Paula: Oh, there are some sharks here. They're really cool.
Laia: Are you having a good time?
Paula: Yeah, it's really interesting. We can meet later if you want.
Laia: OK, great! Give me a call.
Paula: Sure. Bye for now.

Laia: Hey, what's music?
Paula: I'm in a pop band. We've got band practice now.
Laia: Realy? How often do you practise?
Paula: We practise every Monday, and in June we participate in the Banyoles Carnival.
Laia: A carnival? Cool! What do you do in it?
Paula: Well, we sing, dance and wear costumes. It's fun.
Laia: I love dancing. What about you, Nil? Do you like carnivals?
Paula: I don't mind watching them, but I hate dancing.

Nil: London's about 50 minutes from here on the train
Laia: Ok. How much is a return ticket?
Nil: A return ticket is 10 pounds.
Paula: And is there a bus or coach to London?
Nil: Yes, there are coaches from the bus station. They're cheaper tan the train. The timbetables are here .
